Microsoft SharePoint Drive Mapping
FastTrack can map SharePoint shared folders as drive letters without any user interaction or client software.
Using FastTrack to map all of your company’s Microsoft SharePoint disks at network login avoids the need to install and manage Microsofts sync agent software. In addition, as we are treating drives just like traditional network drive maps, there are no issues supporting broken sync, network congestion / bandwidth overuse of mass user syncing from a single location. Further more, as traditional drive maps, it is much easier to control access to data, as it does not reside ‘offline’ and (on laptops) potentially able to be taken outside the business.
This is why we feel that the fastest, simplest and most secure means to map your Office 365 / Microsoft SharePoint drives is with FastTrack Automation Studio.
IP And Printer Share Management
With FastTrack there are two types of network printer solution we support, and two ways to distribute access to them via your network. All of these solutions inter-operate seamlessly together enabling you to run a highly reliable and automated print service to your users, whether they are based in multiple office sites or logging in from home via remote desktop.
VPN & Network Connection Scripting
SmartDock is a FastTrack Automation Studio companion application that detects whenever a computer changes IP address (such as with VPN connections) and on detection, then executes a script of your choice.
This means that whenever the computer is booted, resumed from standby, connected to VPN, a wireless network, or any other scenario where the computer changes IP settings, smartdock can trigger the execution of a script, which can be your full logon script and/or any other custom script.
Microsoft OneDrive For Business Disk Mapping
FastTrack can effortlessly map Microsoft OneDrive For Business as drive letters without any user interaction other than simply logging in to their network – with no client software agent required.
Using FastTrack to map all of your company’s Office 365 / ODFB disks at network login avoids the need to install and manage Microsoft’s sync agent software. Startup Scripts Key Features
Under Windows XP, the user is not given the opportunity to logon until startup scripts have finished. On later operating systems, startup scripts run in the background, when the computer is turned on.
Startup scripts are useful for performing maintenance tasks, but are also sometimes favored over running installations from logon scripts, because they run as local system and are, therefore, executing with full administrative local permissions without being under User Account Control (UAC).
Laptop User Profile & Automated PST File Backup
FastTrack uses an internal command called SyncDir to easily perform fast, automated backups of users local profile folders.
On a gigabit network with few source changes, SyncDir has been tested as being over six times faster than Robocopy, and hundreds of times faster than RoboCopy on syncing with file permissions. Because of the performance sync permissions, SyncDir is the ideal tool to use for the performing of rapid profile and PST file backups.
Laptop backup can be set to run on various conditions such as login, daily / weekly, and backups can be sent to a dynamic generated / conditionally set file share destination.
You can select any number of profile folders such as Documents, Favourites, Desktop, Pictures and when run, an easy to configure splash screen indicates to the user that a quick backup is in progress. A desktop shortcut icon option is available for users to run their own adhoc backups when they desire.
